Advanced Training in Fire Fighting (STCW)
Description:
The course syllabus covers the mandatory minimum requirements prescribed in Regulation VI/3 and Section A-VI/3 of STCW '95.
Objectives:
Trainees who successfully complete this course shall be able to demonstrate the required minimum standard of competence set out in Table A-VI/3 of STCW '95 for seafarers who may be designated to control fire-fighting operations.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to those seafarers who have completed a basic course in fire prevention and fire fighting.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is ten (10) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
4 days (36hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
