1. Registration
A company referral/registration form may be sent by fax, e-mail or handcarried by participants. Kindly note that the registration for any course is on a "first come-first served" basis. Participants coming from outside Metro Manila should coordinate with the Manila office regarding registration and transportation. Those coming directly from overseas may register upon arrival at the training centre in Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Trainees coming from Metro Manila must report to the IDESS Manila booking office at least one week prior to course commencement for registration. The addresses are as follows:

2. Transportation
Course participants will take a bus from Manila to Subic one day prior to course commencement. The travel time is approximately three hours. The meeting time before departure is 1000Hrs at our Manila office.
Participants coming from Central Luzon can make their own way to Olongapo City. They will be met at Chow King Restaurant in front of the Victory Liner terminal in Olongapo City at 1430Hrs one day prior to course commencement. Participants who fail to arrive on time will be responsible for their own transport to the training centre. (The cost of this is not reimbursible).
Participants who wish to bring their vehicles may do so and should secure a gate pass from the Administration office upon arrival at the training centre.
3. Accommodation
On site, standard accommodation is air-conditioned with 4 to 8 persons to a room. Single/double occupancy rooms are available at additional cost and subject to room availability. Linen, bath soap, and toilet paper are provided. Participants should bring their own towel, slippers, clothing as well as toiletries.
IDESS provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee and tea are available, however, participants are responsible for their snacks.
4. Requirements
- A certificate of medical fitness (for courses involving water and firefighting practical exercises). The certificate must state "MEDICALLY FIT FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING" or similar.
- Seaman’s book or passport number.
- One (1) 1.5” x 1.5” photo with white background. – for non-mandatory courses
- Two (2) 1.5” x 1.5” photo with white background. – for mandatory courses

PLEASE NOTE
- Fire Fighting & Emergency Response and Survival & Offshore courses involve practical exercises that are physically demanding. IDESS reserves the right to require submission of a medical clearance relating to a student’s prior / recent surgery or illness.
- Coveralls and boots are available in three sizes small, medium and large. Otherwise, participants should bring their own protective wear.
- Open toe sandals and slippers are not allowed during class hours or during meals.
