Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training Course
Description:
This program is designed to meet the initial onshore safety and emergency response training and assessment requirements for personnel new to the offshore oil and gas industry.
Objectives:
During the BOSIET program delegates will gain a basic level of understanding and awareness of safety and emergency response on offshore installations.
Course Outline:
- Safety Induction
- Helicopter Safety and Escape
- Sea Survival
- Firefighting and Self Rescue
Entry Standards:
This course is open to both prospective and serving offshore workers.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
3 days (22hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those delegates who successfully complete the program and meet the assessment criteria. The certificate is valid for four years.
