Collision Avoidance Course

Description:

The course demands a high level of participation and response from trainees and places emphasis on the practical application of the Collision Avoidance Regulations.

Objectives:

Trainees who successfully complete this course shall be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to apply the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea in practice.

Entry Standards:

This course is open to masters, deck officers and other seafarers who are suitable for promotion to bridge watchkeeping duties.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and the maximum is sixteen (16).

Duration:

5 days (40hrs)

Certification:

A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.

Accreditation:

Panama Maritime Authority
