Inert Gas and Crude Oil Washing Systems Course

Description:

The course syllabus covers the mandatory minimum requirements prescribed in Section A-V/1 para 10 & 12 of STCW '95 and IMO Resolution A.446(XI) Appendix II as amended by Resolution A.497(XII).

Objectives:

Trainees who successfully complete this course shall enable masters, chief mates and other appropriately qualified and experienced personnel, to assume overall charge of a crude oil washing operation. (Appropriate experience is defined in IMO Res A.446(XI) Section 5 as amended by Res. A.497(XII).

Entry Standards:

This course is open to seafarers who have relevant experience appropriate to their duties on oil tankers.
Minimum number of participants is six (6) and maximum is twenty-four (24).

Duration:

2 days (16.5hrs)

Certification:

A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.

Panama Maritime Authority
