Emergency Response Team Member Course
Description:
This programme is designed to meet the emergency response training requirements for personnel working on the offshore oil and gas industry with respect to acting as emergency response team member.
Objectives:
Team Member
Respond to emergency situations on an offshore installation (Emergency Response Team)
- Maintain a state of readiness and respond to emergencies
- Enter the incident area and rescue personnel
- Control the incident
Entry Standards:
This course is open to both prospective and serving offshore workers.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Emergency Team Member should previously have attended an OPITO-approved Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course or Further Offshore Emergency Training course.
Minimum number of participants is six (6) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
5 days (32hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
