Fast Rescue Craft Coxswain Course
Description:
The course syllabus covers the minimum competencies considered necssary to perform the duties of a Fast Rescue Craft Coxswain. The course includes exercises in rescue boats with both waterjet and outboard propulsion systems and exercises at night.
Objectives:
Trainees who successfully complete this course shall be able to demonstrate the minimum competence considered necessary to perform the function of coxswain of a fast rescue craft in an emergency.
Entry Standards:
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training, not less than 18 years old and hold a valid certificate of training in any of the following courses or their equivalent: Personal Survival Techniques, Basic Safety Training, BOSIET.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and maximum is twelve (12).
Duration: 3 days (24hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
