Helicopter Underwater Escape Training With Emergency Breathing System Course
Description:
The course is designed for personnel who must travel to offshore installations or ships by helicopter and who may be using an emergency breathing system in cold waters.
Objectives:
Trainees who successfully complete the course will be able to demonstrate escaping from a helicopter simulator under various types of emergencies both with and without the use of an emergency breathing system.

- Underwater Escape
- Practical underwater escape training including:
- Dry and wet escape exercises
- Use of emergency exits
- Use of helicopter liferaft and lifejackets
- Use of helicopter rescue strop
- Use of helicopter transit suits
- Use of the Air Pocket Plus emergency breathing system
Entry Standards:
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is one (1) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
1 day
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria. The certificate is valid for four years.
