Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats Refresher
Description:
The course syllabus covers the practical elements of the mandatory minimum requirements prescribed in Regulation VI/2 and Section A VI/2-1 of STCW '95.
Objectives:
Trainees who successfully complete this course shall be required to demonstrate continued proficiency in the required minimum standard of competence set out in Table A-VI/2-1 of STCW '95 for seafarers who may be designated to take charge of the preparation embarkation, launching and handling of survival craft.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to seafarers who have undergone Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other then Fast Rescue Boats within the previous five years.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is ten (10) and maximum is twenty-four (24).
Duration:
2 days (16 hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
