Ship Safety Officer Course
Description:
This course aims to provide knowledge and guidance to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Ship’s Safety Officer, as required under the United Kingdom’s merchant shipping legislation.
Objectives:
Be able to undertake the duties and responsibilities as Ship Safety Officer, as laid down in the United Kingdom’s merchant shipping legislation.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to seafarers that are likely to be designated as Ship’s Safety Officer.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and maximum is twenty-four (24).
Duration:
2 days (16hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
