Tropical Basic Offshore Safety
Induction and Emergency Training Course
Description:
This program is designed to meet the initial onshore safety and emergency response training and assessment requirements for personnel new to the offshore oil and gas industry in a warm water (tropical) environment.
Objectives:
Delegates who successfully complete this course shall gain a basic level of understanding and an awareness of safety and emergency response on offshore installations.
Course Outline:
- Safety Induction
- Helicopter Safety and Escape
- Sea Survival
- Firefighting and Self Rescue
The course may be conducted with or without the Emergency Breathing System (EBS) depending on client requirements.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to both prospective and serving offshore workers.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
2.5 days (19hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those delegates who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria. The certificate is valid for four years.
