Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training Course
Description:
This program is designed to further onshore safety and emergency response training and assessment requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry in a warm water (tropical) environment.
Objectives:
During the Tropical FOET program delegates shall have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate skills which are not possible to practice offshore during drills, exercises and offshore training.
Course Outline:
- Emergency First Aid
- Firefighting and Self Rescue
- Helicopter Safety and Escape
The course may be conducted with or without the Emergency Breathing System (EBS) depending on client requirements.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to persons holding a valid OPITO Tropical BOSIET or
Tropical FOET course certificate.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is four (4) and maximum is sixteen (16).
Duration:
1 day (6hrs)
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those delegates who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria. The certificate is valid for four years.
